This build has been in the works since last fall and I was supposed to build a ski with an xscream motor to ride the daytona freeride in January:
http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/47563&highlight=daytona+xmetal

It is better late than never(more time to save up the dust)...I ended up getting the new xscream 827cc stock stroke motor setup and alot of build parts to complement to new hp especially the pump setup.

I can't believe I will be riding soon with a motor this crazy powerful, sexy, and state of the art. This build is all about this motor....

The motor is going into my 04 superjet that I bought from x member hammer.

I bought it after his build which included a 701 bolt-on motor (bpipe, head, reeds, etc) and footholds, turf, etc.

I installed a WDK diablo hood and nosepiece, xmetal -4 pole, WDK -3 steering, dcut stock plate, wamilton's under hood fuel fill, msd enhancer, flow control valve, etc.

This is my first real freestyle ski- footholds, braapp, handling....I love my ski the way it is now. It rips in the surf and flatwater. I am, however, always ready for more power. I try to ride alot and I want reliable power also. Chuckie (head doctor of braappintology at xscream) has built motors for me since I raced a blaster back in the day. He always stressed reliability even with race motors.

Pump gas, mostly stock electrics, stock crank....big power with less hassle.

I have landed more upside down back flip attempts than I can count, hopefully this motor will help me flip like lucas in the last pic.

Pump Build

Yesterday I started my pump build.

Pat (Bogie on the X) is the head test pilot at xscream. He is an amateur national and world freestyle champion. He is also a machinist who designs and builds these billet xscream components in conjunction with Chuckie (Supertune).

Pat is the pump specialist at xscream. I am building my pump to his design for this motor. I am starting with a nice pump and adding a Skat Trak 14-19 big hub impeller and a TBM pump cone. (Thank you Troy(Superjet 113) for the TBM cone) The TBM cone is designed to mimic the performance of a mag pump. This impeller is designed for a mag pump.

Thanks to local rider Fred(Augustaf) for helping me (Actually I helped him would be more accurate) install the fitting for dual cooling and has provided expert guidance by phone whenever advice was needed.

The TBM setup is slick. The parts are well designed and installed easily.

The reduction nozzle was bored and I modified the steering nozzle for quick steer. I used Aquamend (5. at Home Depot) quick cure epoxy stick pictured to fill in the stock bilge fitting in the reduction nozzle. You can use Aquamend to repair/rig your hull even when wet.

Today I finished the pump and installed a umi billet coupler to match the same already installed on my midshaft after a coupler surf blowout earlier this year.

These couplers are smaller in diameter then oem yamaha 3 finger and use the smaller oem kawi 6 finger rubber dampener.

Electrical System Build

Today I also built and installed a new electrical system for the motor. I started with a clean SN ebox and removed the 6m6 650 cdi, coil, and stator. Then I installed a msd enhancer ignition, a JSS coil, but I was S.O.L. on the 62t stator. I have sold all my nice 62t stators and needed one for this build because the TBM flywheel I am also using is only designed for the 62t.

I went digging through my dead stators and found a nice one with one bad coil. I replaced it with one from another dead stator and hopefully I will be good to spark. I realized today how nice it is to do a build surrounded by parts and build hardware.

I installed a new ebox gasket, removed the temp sensor, and reassembled the ebox.

Then I found a good ground wire and installed the starter. I am working painfully slow on everything. This motor is so nice, I want my work to look as good.

Installed the stator, bendix, and TBM flywheel. Located a flywheel cover to match and the electric is almost finished.

More pics, tomorrow I am missing a secret spot surf trip to keep building. I worked late last night and today, tonight to try to finish, but I still have much to go.

Sorry to lucas(lucampits), josh(aircraftsalz) and others that I am missing tomorrow. I hope to be (flat)water testing in the late afternoon.

More engine details:

62t or 64x cases
Stock crank
Xscream SS Top end kit -Cylinder, Pistons, Rings, Head, Power Valves, Gaskets

Intake: Boyesen manifold xscream modded and reeds, dual 46mm xscream modded carbs, stock dual 61x flame arrestors

Exhaust: Bpipe limited with xscream mani, headpipe, and chamber mods

Lucas just installed his 827SS and adjusted the idle and rode it. No tuning, carb adjustments...just ride and rip it. I can't wait.....BRAAAAPPPPPP!:brap::brap:

I love this motor. I know you guys don't believe this but I took my ski out to the lake yesterday for the first time in years. And after I was done, loading my ski onto the trailer. A couple of guys had to come over to see what I was running. This motor rips so hard that guys sitting on the dock 300' away could tell that I was pulling some serious power. Good luck, You're gonna love it. Well back to Pismo next weekend for me...
