Since breaking my knee last fall, I've only been out on the ski a handfull of times this year.

But EVERY TIME I go out I spend half the day wrenching on my 550.:rocketwhore:

If it was always the same issue that would be one thing, but it's always something new. This latest time I lost spark. I'm 'bout ready to pull the hood and let it sink. I want a ski I can just ride. I liked the light weight of my 550, but dammit this shizz is getting old quick.

Guess I get to spend this winter looking for a new boat. Still undecided whether I want a SXR or a SJ. I know most of you would say SJ hands down, But I hate to pull the trigger without knowing all the facts about both.

In I perfect world I'd get a chance to ride both before deciding. (hint):fing02:

I feel your pain too man. I really do.

I have almost tapped out of this sport several times.

It tests your mental limits not to mention your wallet.:crying:

dont get me wrong, I'm not ready to quit. I just like riding more than wrenching. it's the reason I sold my Jeep and bought a brand new Tundra.

I just want something that I can just hit the button and go... anytime, everytime.

I think the only way that is possible is to buy new EVERYTHING all at once and even then you can only hope.

I have come really close to at least selling Kells ski and getting her a brand new unmollested 08. At least then I would only have to wrench on mine. Maybe.

well, the thought HAS crossed my mind to get a new ski just to avoid headaches, then I can upgrade and build it my way as I feel like it.

I just wanna f-ing ride and the seasons nearly over.

Man if I could afford it I would just build a new AM ski. Full carbon hull with super reliable mild 701 set up. ALL NEW.

I think it could be done for a little over 10k.

Even less if you watch and wait.

I am still kicking myself for not buying the 06 XFT hull that sold in here for 1700. Then a badazz motor for like 2g's and you would be set.

But that hull needed work and would defeat the purpose of not wrenching.

But figure 6 or 7 for a bad azz new hull and 3 or 4 for a nice motor/electrics/pump.

put it all together and you wouldn't have to touch a wrench for say at least a month....lol.:crying:

Well if you tundra is a fully loaded 4x4 then it is equal to 2 of those skis. If your tundra is a standard model 2 wheel drive then it is equal to 1 of those skis.

That better be one hellava ski for 18k (about half of my truck)

18K will get you a great ski but if you want to go all out I think someone builds and sells a ski for close to 40K

Fook That noise!

I'd buy 5 or 6 stock skis for that price then put them at the curb when they break down before I'd pay that much for ONE ski that I'd probably STILL have to work on every couple weeks.:chairshot:
