I sometimes wonder WTF I am thinking with this jetski stuff. Here it is, 1:15 AM. Ross and I just finished a less than standard driveshaft/shortshaft replacement on my blaster. By the time I get home, and to sleep, it will be 2, easily. Then I'm getting up at 6AM to meet Ross to head up to Oceanside and ride.

Seriously...why? :Banane39: :Banane39: :Banane39:

tell us about it
Did i tell you that wax racing is going to be doing blaster driveshafts and i can tell you the price on that
430 for the complete shafts
these shafts are made from a grade higher then the oem shafts
we went to a boat racing guy and spoke to them about the material they are using in there 1000hp v drive boats
and they told us to use this stuff
we have had it in a blaster now for 6 months and pulled it out to check
there isnt so much as a polish mark on the shafts
they actually look identical to the day they were fitted

it will be the last set you ever buy

I was saying this same thing in Daytona as I popped yet another CDI/Stator into my ski!!

Why Why Why do we do it?!?:banghead:

Orange is right though! 1 hour of riding can make you forget all about 5 hours of wrenching.

Is that the stator you got from Magoo? What did you do with the JSS Stator.

Whats up Mark. I still have it because I really don't know whether it was the JSS stator or the stock CDI that was causing me issues. Someday I'll test them 1 ata time and figure it out.

It sucks too because I can't bash JSS or leave him ad feedback till I know for sure. Same with the EBAY'er I bought the damn CDI from. I can't leave good/bad feedback until I test the stupid things.:aargh4:

Hopefully in 15 years you'll still be asking yourself that question.
Your addicted just like most of us here.

Let me see, it affects what kind of vehicle I buy (truck), affects what house I buy or build (big garage) and of course where I take my vacations (Daytona=waves). I walk, talk, eat and sleep jetskis.
It's a good thing my wife is into this sport or I'd be in a lot of trouble.

Off Topic but this is so cool speaking of my wife. She just told me last night that she wants to learn backflips.:hail: She gets an A+ in my books for even thinking about trying them. If this trick is all balls does she have a chance:biggrin:

Oh ya I almost forgot. To top it off she asks how much it would cost to build her a Lamey if we were going to build her a superjet. I think I'm in Love:love:

the night before the last Lanier Ride, I stayed up late replacing the engine, washed my hands when I finished, went to work at 5 a:m, finished the ski at 4:30 a:m
.............

I actually enjoy wrenching as long as I have the time.I can,t believe I sometimes miss working on crap till the sun comes up.Why else would I ride my sled on open water till it sinks if it wasn,t for the fun of dragging it out of the lake and spending 3 hours getting it going at minus 10 degrees

I've been there. I had a 12 hr wrench session on wahoo's boats tho go home get 4 hours sleep and drive to daytona the next day. We've got it bad.

I think I just stripped my short shaft today also...

How much for a Wax shaft?

The deal is though...this is more or less the way things go just about every week.

But its well worth it...just don't ask the GF/wives about it....you could ask my x about it, but I don't know what her new number is. :cool2:

So your all excited to ride, which makes it hard to sleep the night before, early morning, RedBull, crusin out of the harbor and heading for the waves. You pull into the surf line and see your first wave rolling in. When you ride up the face of that first wave, your mind clears, adrenalin pumps, and you realize that its all worth while. Heck you probably would not have slept at all if you had to finish the ski.

I love having a good size group out there, everyone feeding off each other, getting pumped up.... and watching Ross go for the double!

We've missed you Eddie. I'm always more pumped to ride when you are out there. You definitely bring energy to the group. I haven't ridden with sicki in the surf yet, and I hear he does the same.

It's BR time tomorrow. Eddie, can I BR the FX?
