The point is he forgot more than we will ever know about the subject....

He designed one world class hull, what would make you think he could not do it again??? He obviously knows something about hydrodynamics and aerodynamics... This ******** is not rocket science, but if need that, he can probably do that too...

Have you ever spoke to him???

Only last friday when he called me at work to thank me for sending him a customer for a ride plate............

You guys are killing me................. kinda acting like Momar.......... "this is gonna be the next best thing to sliced bread"............ That what momar was preaching about the Octane and then the HS.........

To call something the "Best" before it hits the water is a bit premature, just like everybody making they judgements on the new SJ, "it is gonna suck on flat water", "it is gonna suck in the Surf", "It is gonna suck on the race course" and none have actually ridden it, even after Kaveman came on after riding it and said it was great in flat water, it turned incredible, it is a great ski....... everybody keeps voicing their opinions on something that they just dont have a clue on!!!!!!!!!!

I will say it for the umteenth time........... I have not or am not currently questioning Bobby's experience or quality of work.............. Nor have I, nor any of you knows more about composite construction.......

Everyone I have ever spoken to that has ridden a EME, has said its the best they have ever ridden.... now people can have that lower hull constructed of the best Composites in the world.... so yes It is the best :drive: And again, his layups have been tested on the water, and mathmaticly on paper.... what makes you think this lower hull is that much different then the ones he built for Malone in the past, or his current hood, rideplate, sponsons or nosepiece..... everything is built from the same composites...... For the guy who wants the very best, this will be his very best route to take. IMHO

haha Ya.. anytime I can save weight I see it as a good thing. I'm only 5'10 150lbs, less weight to me seems better easier to throw around! Not to mention coming from car racing back ground weight savings is your friend :bigok:

I think a Super light SXR would be a awsome surf boat/flatwater/ all around boat.....

Dont get me wrong, this hull will be way out of my league (cost/ I cant afford any AM hull), Im a poor arse 22yr old punk, thats about to be moving into my own house here in the next couple weeks.

Everything I say is for real though, he just got done cutting the material for the upper as a matter of fact, it will be getting layed up bright and early tomorrow morning.

After that he still needs to do the bulkhead, motor mounts, pluming, ect.

To bad someone last weeknd didnt take any pics when the hull was at Sebastain.... right now Bobby is without a computer, and has his heart set on completing this first hull.....

Read Yamasaki's post..... it is far more then heresay.

If durability is what your looking for and extreme light weight then think about Trinity some more.. I got t-boned racing last weekend so bad it shattered the handhold clear out of the ski, scratched the paint to hell and left a a gaping hole where the hold was. yet no damage to the hood what so ever.. and it weighs in at 8lbs...... nuff said

this should say something

im not saying you guys arnt telling it like it is..im just saying id like to see this guys stuff and i think making a website or at least posting some pics would probally get some intrest in his products..it sounds really good as long as he starts making sj stuff..im all for a new guy in the game..not that i have intrest in an AM hull..but a nice light, strong sj hood would do the trick

The website is under construction, he wants to do some more things with it, before releasing

He just doesnt want to get in over his head, like what has happened latley to another hull builder.

The SJ stuff is still going to happen, its just a matter of time :Banane35:

Edit: In the next couple of weeks there will be pictures, and possibly some new news..... thats realy all I can say.

ok guys... i swapped over to front exhaust and an XMW waterbox (although I am still using rear exhaust too). My ski has always listed to the right a bit, but it does even more so now. I am running a Koyo dry cell, which is still pretty heavy, which is what i attribute to the heavy right side listing. The listing causes the "T" for the front exhaust to become water level, thus filling my waterbox if i sit for more than a few seconds without holding the right side up.

I've read through this thread and wanted to see if i could get some quick feedback from the guys who have been running the smaller lightweight batteries for a while now. I am really only looking for starting power and reliability input. I figure the only reason i really need a lighter battery is to help offset the listing problem.

oh, and I am running stock ignition, 185psi in a ported 701.. no major HP or serious compression to really worry about.

thanks guys...

The Good Old Days
I have been using the tiny battery for just over a month.
The second weekend with the thing I was out at a 4 day event where my ski stayed in the water (on the beach) the whole time.
Lot's of starting and stopping in the mangroves where 50+ couches would cause a nice traffic jam but the battery worked like a champ.
The only time that I had problems with starting is when my motor sucked in a bit of water for the third time in a relatively short period of time (out of sheer boredom I was doing looooong fountains).
The thing would still crank over but not enough spark (MSD enhancer if that makes a difference)to fire a damp plug.
A jumper fixed that.

My square has a TDR water box with rear only exhaust and sits absolutely level in the water.

That 4LB battery ROCKS.
