I lost 12 lbs last night... Wheeew...

tried a walmart 9lbs battery on my SXR with Advent Total loss setup, it ran great for the 10 gal gas that I blew through. A savings of 7lbs. Doesn't sound like much but it really does make a difference in freestyle. Next I am putting a 8.5 litre tan(2.5)gal go kart fuel tank, should save a good amount of weight when.

on an electrical side note.. I went through my ignition and di-electriced up all the connectors.. maybe its just me but it felt like the ski came on a little quicker.. perhaps from better current flow to the plugs.. the reason i was in there: I had a connector come loose and my light Deka bat cranked a miss firing ski over for a good half hour of trying before it finally quit.. And don't leave your batteries on the cement floor.. it can kill them i guess..

I still can't believe that tiny battery can crank the motor. I tried it for a couple weekends just rubber banded in the old plastic battery tray before I made this new battery try. Stainless steel and complete with gas tank hold down. Just wanted to share it with you guys so you can get some ideas if you want to do something similar.

Myth............ concrete has no effect on the electrons in the battery. LOL

yeah.

Ive gone round and round with folks about that before.

the ONLY logical thing I can see, is possibly the floor is cold, and COOLS the battery some, but I cant imagine enough to reduce its cranking capacity.

wive's tale, myth, not true.

I just finished making a concrete shelf to hold all of my Odyssey batterys.

generally electrolyte wont freeze.

I mean, it has never frozen in my car in well below freezing weather.

but are you saying the ground is colder than that up there?

just borrowed my neighbors scale and a stock hood with all hardware and a fire extinguisher weighs 21 1/2lbs and my WDK comes in at 14lbs.

My WDKREV hood only weighs 8lbs. If you wana save some weight call Jeff, he's a madman! My friends and I also have been tossing around the idea of the Micro Battery for a two minute routine. The REV 1200 billet has been drastically improved (FYI). If you ever were lucky enough to ride the original version just wait til you try the new one! Unbelievable.http://www.waterdawgkustomz.com/copyindex.php

I forgot!
a battery will loose 1% of its power every day, a cool dry concrete floor is the best place for it to be stored as the cooler the battery the slower the electrons are moving slowing down the drain. Cement is just a powder people...only one ingredient needed to make concrete. no one has a cement floor....i hope.

only if that annoying dude doesnt participate.

But the hot chick on there, is more than welcomed to test my "voltage" on any surface she wants.

They came to my school to "bust a myth". There was an auditorium where we got to ask some questions. I raised my hand and asked the hot red head on a date. I got shot down but it was worth a try.
