Help! Sank the SN

So i went against my golden rule and let someone who knew next to nothing about stand ups ride my ski. She decided to idle out a few miles, all the while trying to get up on her knees. So the ski took on alot of water through the hood seal. Now the average person would have flipped on the bilge pump but not her. Next thing i know, i can't see my ski and she is flailing her arms. So i get it towed back into the shore with my couch, flip it exhaust side to drain the water. Use the bilge to get the rest. Pull the plugs and there is water on them. Flipped it over and let the water drip out of the holes for the plugs. Put them back in and try to crank it. It would turn over once then die. Did the same for awhile and then the battery died.

So i got it home finally and tried starting it again. It stayed on for a second and blew out a lot of water from the exhaust which is expected. What i didn't expect was for the starter to get stuck, so i had to disconnect the battery. Everytime i connected the damn thing the starter would turn over constantly. So i pulled the battery and decided to wait.

WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW? Any help would be appreciated guys, thank you. I'm pretty new to these but i'm a very mechanical person.

Low battery will cause the solenoid to arc and weld the contacts together. tapping it might bring it back to life. Spin the engine over with the plugs out and hold your thumb over the plug hole in the head to get more water out. Hold the stop button while doing this to defeat the spark. This will save your CDI from damage. Once most of the water is out put a little premix in one of the cyls and try to get it running on one cylinder with one plug in. If it fires & quits pull the plug and clean it off. The premix will help drive the water out. Once running on one cyl get it going on both. Get it started soon to avoid damaging the crank.

Got it running last night, but only for a few seconds. As soon as you touched the throttle it would sputter and die. It kinda seems like something is wrong with the carb now or maybe water in the lines. It starts when i pour a little bit of gas down the carb otherwise it just turns over and won't catch. Any ideas guys?

where is you tank vent mounted? the tank could have pulled water in through that, happened to my buddies ski and he pulled a gallon of water out of his tank because his hull filled up with water

You could also have AIR in the lines...I couldnt get the fuel to flow after putting the SN together after the winter . I took the fuel pickup off the tank and put it back together, bam it worked.

Good luck.

did it backjfire? could have sheared a woodruff key

I pulled the carb apart and there was tons of water in there. Drained it all and dried it all out with a blow dryer. Couldn't get it put back together before work so i'll finish toying with it tonight. It seems like I've got all of the water out of it now. I need to do a compression test though, because that has me a little worried.
