FX1 Nose / Pole

Hi

Just wondered if anyone can help, I have an FX1 and wanted to drop the pole at the font bracket. I already have a Blowsion 1" loweing bracket.

There is an FX1 that has dropped the pole inside, see below:

Has Anyone:

a) Done this conversion and can help.?
b) have any pics?

I know that I will have to do a bit of work with the hood etc,

Lots of fiberglass work...

Ivo Senh did this first back in the late 90's. Looks really good...probably the lower center of gravity with the pole etc being lower is a good thing. I have never seen one in person. Ivo also converted his to a SJ pump (I would say spend your time there)

IMO, I would not do it...I really like riding the skis. And riding them makes pleanty of work for me, so I don't need to add lots of extra work.

But if you really want that look, I am sure some performance gains would come with is as well.

If you want Ivo's hull, he has been looking to sell it for a while. I will put you two in touch if you would like.

That thread is one of the best I have seen. Lots of pics. What do you need help with? Cut the nose, and make a lowered area for the handle pole bracket. Then cannel the hood so the pole sits in. The mod doesn't seem that difficult, just time consuming.

Thanks for the heads up Guys.....

The ski has had plenty of work done engine wise etc, head, scoop, impellor, Factory B etc, It needs a re paint anyway and I just wanted to give it a finishing touch. As much as I love the FX1 and many people do they still look dated, I sold my Superjet RR (pics attached)... Wasnt impressed with the money.... My Mates Superjet 701 with blowsion head, scoop, impellor, Factory B,etc rocked and prefer any day... I could spend half the price and still have a better ski!

I will try and get in contact with the guys who have done the mod....
