Fun stuff to tow?

I'm looking into diversifying my water activities...

Saw some guy airing it out on a kiteboard this year...
Looked fun (I'm sure its tough to learn)... I got a windsurf setup I haven't used in a decade... need to get on it. That **** is hard :)

Want to ride something behind a STXR... Some kinda wakeboard, probably... any advice??

I bet riding a wake board down the beach would be fun`, especially with some surf :)

Unless you want to talk about towing in a down rider or sinking ski, I think you're posting on the wrong site.

I have to agree with this. Even a xlt1200 is really pulled around by towables.

LOL, yeah, I guess not... In fact I don't think I would be doing any tow in surfing at all... seeing how I can't surf to save my life.

If you want to diversify learn to slalom, nothing like it.
If you were allowed with no spotter, pulling with a ski would be fine.

PWC's are great for pulling tubes. You could definatly have some fun wakeboarding behind your stxr, but dont expect to get any good air.
Its all fun, dont be discouraged to tow something

in FL, you can tow w/o a spotter if your ski has a mirror/mirrors.

I was thinking wakeboard + surf would = nutty fun and possible huge air into a controlled crash :)

Looks hard to learn, though.

And I can't imagine anything funner than trying to do a 180 at 60mph towing someone on a tube (assuming no injuries).

I'm happy as long as I get out on the water, vehicle or no!

I got a boat this spring in addition to my superjet, SXI, and 550. I hope to bust out some other fun activites like wake boarding or skiing off the back of my boat. It looks like a blast.:woot:

WAKESKATE behind a couch, is fun. its wakeboarding, but your not strapped to the board, its like skateboarding on water and its fun. you dont need huge wakes to catch air like wakeboarding

Wake boarding in the surf is being done a little.

Here is a little note of Irony
There is an episode of some wakeboard show that is on Fuel from time to time where a bunch of pros are out riding in the surf. And guess what, they are doing it in front of Camp Pendelton, the same place we ride. But instead of watching out and running from the lifeguards, they are filming from the beach and hanging out with the Marines...I think they even got a ride in the tanks. Maybe we should just start wakeboarding out there.

At any rate, what they were doing looked like a lot of fun. Kind of a mix of tow surfing wakeboarding. I think it is a good idea.

I also think it would be a lot of fun, and make for great video to put P-Dawg (aka Blowstuffup) in a tube and fling him at some waves.:biggthumpup: :arms:

P-Dawg where you at...oh and we are going to need your seadoo
