e brake malfunction

we went out for a lil jet mate ride, and figured since noone else was using the ramp, we would just leave it in the ramp... well, the e brake didnt do its job, and when we returned from the ride we found the old shaggin waggon under water!!!

Why didn't the transmission stop it?
Was it in gear? (Or Park)?

I know my Ranger WILL roll backwards on the ramp without the ebrake, even in gear.
It'll just turn the motor over.

Report it to the insurance, take the money when they total it, and don't buy another GMC....

:headbang:

lol,,, the chevy astro, and the gmc safari if the best creation to ever roll out of a GM plant!!! they should of never quit making them! this is my 6th one since iv had my drivers licence! i pull a 24ft baja with it,, can fit 2 superjets in the back and get 20mpg! i hold the long distance jump record at work with 36 feet! if GM started making these babies again, their $$$ problems would be solved!!!! :bigok:

lol, yea the chocks are pretty weak! ha,, i usually stack them on one wheel, but wasnt really thinking that day,,,,

actually it smells more like moist a$$ at the moment than sabotage!!

doesn't that say something?

Astro vans suck. 6 of any car should last 60+ years.

how can u say they suck???? theirs a science to being an astro owner... out of the 6, i totalled 2, and i sold the others before i had to put tires on them! lol,,,see you buy them for $500-$1000, with just about 120,000 mi,,, and the key is get one with new tires and exhaust, and when the tires wear out you sell the van for 500-1000, and go get another one with new rubber,,, i drove one to FL from ohio with 240,00 mi on it..

how can u say they suck??? its the most versitle automobile on the road!!! you can tow a good size boat, enclosed trailer( with elect brake unit of course), get 2 superjets in the back, or 3 dirt bikes, or a 4 wheeler and a pit bike, 14 friends and a dog... it dosnt get any better than that for a 500$ car!! i dare u to prove me wrong!!! :unitedstates:

do you work on them? there isn't much room and the transmissions are a joke.

yea, i work on them, thats why u can get them cheep,, ppl dont like to work on them cause everythings so tight... the 4.3 is one of the best motors even made, and i dont under stand what u thinks wrong with the transmition?? iv had rear end issues, never tranny?

but still you have told whats a better vehicle for the money???

They use them for cabs here in Cleveland. But they only keep them for 5 years and they have a full time mechanic.

right on. my 1990 legacy was about $500. Best money I've ever spent.

i dont see 2 superjets in the back of a legacy,or 3 dirt bikes?? or towing a 5000lb boat?? no way as versitle! believe me i dont enjoy driving around a box with windows and tires,, but the possibilitys are endless!!! i need the versitility!! lol,,
BTW, im just haveing fun with this, not trying to fight on the x, or make enemys...

I'm fooling around as well... except for the part about not liking astro vans. :)

you can fit an SJ in a legacy, you could probably put one on the roof rack too. I pull a double trailer with mine.

plus when you get a rear wheel drive one with real wore out shocks, you can gas/brake/gas/brake it and hop the front tires off the ground like hydrolics!!!

Wait till its starts overheating and your head gaskets blow out; that's the most common problem with those and it will cost more than what you paid for the car to fix it. :jester:

:unitedstates: Buy American; GM products are just awesome for reliability.
