the start/stop switch on my wife's FX1 is 'leaky' too...

you can measure faint voltage all over the place in an old skis E-box if you try..

get that stuff wet and its even worse.

its a slight parasitic drain on your battery...

Would it be easier to add a quick disconnect on the positive terminal?

hey dj when i first changed my flywheel to the MSD charging i had a very similar problem. i thought the fly wasnt charging, but it ended up being a short in my bilge switch. i changed switches and it hasnt been a problem since. i went out in the shop one night around 3am and my pumps were running WTF!! cause i had been in there all night and knew that i didnt leave them on. if i hadnt found it that night i still would be blaming msd lol

good luck man hope your rippen again soon!!

The bilge is not the problem. I hooked it up with and without the bilge and both are drawing .000002 amps. It is not enough to kill a battery, however, the battery doesn't gain sheeot when I start the motor. It stays exactly the same, even if I rev it....

Basically something is wrong with the charging system. The guy I bought the flywheel off off said it might not charge, but I am checking some other stuff first.

Frank, I WILL be riding tomorrow. I am charging my battery right now, it is ready to rip!
Vogi, bring that spare just in case!

Did the previous owner specify why it might not charge? Are you cool with going to total loss if it comes to that?

yeah, for now. If I am going to...I would rather have an even lighter flywheel...
