I finished my handwarmers and my leg/nut/footwarmers on my SJ today.

wow thats well done! the only thing I'm unsure of is the pisser being valved rather than the hand/foot warmer itself. Now when you adjust how much water your hands get, you could restrict the water flow through the engine

I prefer using a T so that 50% of the cooling water exits unrestricted, and the other 50% goes through a valve and then to my hands. That way I could never accidentally overheat my motor

but seriously, those fittings you made are awesome!

With dual cooling/pissers, I had to valve my warmers and each pisser to get the flow out the warmers and the temps right. With the warmers and really cold water I couldn't get my temps up high enough without controlling the restriction on all three.

Yea I thought of that but I figured I could regulate the overboard pissers to give my warmer pissers the right pressure. If needed I can install to more valves on the other side. I guess I will make my first run with the valves wide open to see how much water comes out the warmers.

I dont think I have to worry about overheating my motor. I always watch the water coming out of my pissers to see how much is coming out.

I do have two small plastic valves I can but on the bar pissers if needed. I need to buy one for the footwarmer also.

The Good Old Days
I plumbed my setup in last night and now I should be toasty all over. If it works as planned I'll have a heated floor and a full body shower.
The only thing missing from my setup is a valve system. The 2 large stores had nothing interesting so I'm going to hit up a local ACE.

OK, here's my take on the hand warmer idea.

Have one line running up the pole where it splits into 2 3/8" copper lines. The copper lines barely stick past the chin pad and are covered with clear plastic tube.
The idea is that I can aim the direction of the water flow by bending the soft copper and I can alter the streams shape by squeezing the outlet with a pair of pliers.

I ran another line to the back of the motor and split that into 2 shorter lines. Again, I used copper on the very end for the same reasons as mentioned above.
I split the tray line into 2 because I had 2 holes in the dash already plus I wanted both footsies to be nice and warm.

It's a maze of hoses in the bilge but if this works I'll clean it all up some and leave it for next winter.

Wow those valve setups look awsome. Im cheap though tomorrow is my day to setup the valve system on my ski. We'll see what I come up with. Iwas thinking drilled out wirenuts and hose clamps. :fingersx:
