Best way to clean the Engine Compartment?

also after you install the engine to keep it looking great (only works if you don't have a scupper or one-way) after a day of ridding put the ski on the trailer pour in some simple green trailer home (while you trailer it home it sloshes around the hull) rinse it out when you get home and good to go. I found this keeps the hull cleaner over time.

I do this once in awhile on my skis too... except I use a squirt or 2 of dish detergent or a scoop of tide and add a gallon or 2 of water to the hull... Trailer around the neighborhood and then empty...

Honda spray (polish) is the most amazing product ever made. I used to use it on my sport bike. Looked like a mirror after applied and took forever before dust would stick to the bike. They banned it tho, waaaay to many chemicals in it. Bastards :frown: You can still get leftover cases on ebay tho

I use industrial grease cleaner from Home Depot. A gallon of it is $8 and you dillute it anywhere from 5-1 to 1-1...lasts forever. Spray let sit then I fill up my hull with water and let the bilge run to empty it all out a few times.

Purple power works great too.... Just make sure if you use it when the motor is in that you get all of your metal (raw aluminum) wet first, and dont let it dry on.... or it may tarnish the aluminum.

The stuff is awsome for cleaning dirt bikes too.... Simple green is also the shiz.
