Yeah, don't kill yourself and make the sport look bad, please.

I tried one today(with lifters to defy gravity) and took a bad bounce priming the pump, landed square on my back. Hurt real good.
Knew it was too choppy, I was being stupid today. Speaking of, don't try WOT subs, you can never get low enough.

Learn how to really ride your ski first. Get comfortable. If you can, ride some buoys and get really comfortable. And for god sakes don't attempt anything inverted without footholds and don't get footholds until you get more time on your ski, they can cause some serious injuries if your not ready for em.

not that you can't learn to ride in four weeks, but it took me just a couple of weeks to really feel good making turns at speed in both directions.:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: I may be a slow learner?????????

but become a confident rider, then start with little things, ( subs, stabs etc)

then go get some footholds and the other goddies and then tear it up:biggthumpup:

Get footholds and then start doing rolls and flips... I was rolling 4 months after stepping foot on a ski... I still can't turn on flatwater though:biggrin:

You have the guts, so now use ur head, pulling off a backflip takes sum serious knowhow and hours of riding,o lot of hours...

Study the videos and you need to be hooked on2 the craft to fly inverted!!

Keep up the riding!!!!

Quickest and easiest way to secure yourself to the ski is with footstraps...just go to a local surf/windsurf shop and look for em..

Keep trying, it will happen.

Like they say, "If you haven't hurt yourself, you aren't trying hard enough."

At least you are really putting forth the effort .

I tried my first backfilp Sunday as well. I am glad the first one is over. I was the the most scared of heading at a wave that looked like it was about to suck me back over and eat me. I got perfectly upsidedown and pancaked it. It really didn't hurt. I held on to it TIGHT and let it push me in. The motor didn't even stall. I just swam back up and got back on it. Then checked to see if I was still alive or dreaming. It really wasn't that bad but I have had a bad experience backflipping a snowboard so it is a little erie doing it again. I am feeling like the next try will be a lot easier to concentrate on my form rather than just not crapping my pants.
