Its bad enough to have surfers threatening you. Now we have fellow STANDUP riders calling localism and threatening other STANDUP riders.

andrew no longer rides stand up watercraft. now he has to be extra douchey to fit in with his latest sport and make it up to them that he used to claim pro pollution crafter. i would imagine he gets made fun of for it.:lmao:

Apparantly he quit riding standups so that he could stick with being a tough guy "locals only" surfer/kiter.
I know a ton of surfers/kiters from San Diego, and none of them have that douchie territorial BS going on. Most are chill and just ride...

I'm glad he's NOT the "madmat" on this site! That worried me for a sec when I saw that at the bottom of his email.

Like I said, we were totally respectful of the surfers. I wouldn't expect a surfer to paddle down the beach a half mile when I can just ride down there. We rode the complete opposite way of anyone in the water and did our own thing. We are already planning a trip back to that place. I ride with a really cool group but I guarantee if someone with that attitude confronted us that way, he'd have his little surf board snapped in half over his head. Dude needs to chill out. There is plenty of coast/surf for everyone :highhorse:

I was coming out this Fall anyway and this is where I want to ride before or after hitting Oregon....sounds real nice!
