anyone else have a project for daytona that won't be done in time?

my project is never done. Or, it gets done a bit here and a bit there. I wish I could show up with more brap...but it is what it is, and I got what I got...and it runs good!
(a build thread would be stupid)

My bilge pump will stay ziptied to my steering cable and my footstrap will not be attached...(that kinda bums me out, but whatever!)

My surf bomber ski is ready to rip, so I will be riding, but my daytona build is killing me! Lots of late nights and I am trying not to give up. If I am cranky at the freeride just slap me.

actually the bilge zippy'd to the steering cable works pretty well!!!!

I sended my set of dual 46mm to Art (Jetworks) just before New Year for Blackjacking. He got them done by Jan 6 and sent them to me USPS Priority Mail ( I asked him to do it , he use UPS or Fedex) and now my carbs MIA. When I sent them to Art it's take 3 days to get there. It's 6 days already. I called USPS and thay made a claim, said somebody will call me in next 2 days. I was planing to leave friday evening , drive thru night and be at Daytona sat morning . I still got two more days ,two more shances to get my carbs or I :):):):)ed.

Wife insisted we take her car to Daytona this year so that she can "go" somewhere during the day. (Code word for shopping)
No hitch on her car so I ordered one 2 weeks ago from an online joint. 2 days ago I gave them a call to see where's my hitch and they informed me that they don't carry one for that model. GREAT.

Spent 2 days calling and running all over town and got nothing.
Tomorrow morning I'm driving over to Clearwater to get a hitch made as in my :):):):)ty town everyone is a millionaire to proud to work.

Could have just taken the van but no, she needs to go shopping.

That sucks sorry to here this. Hope they get to you in time. On a side note I hate USPS. Its like a crap shoot with them. I much prefer UPS and Fed Ex 2nd. Their package tracking is much better.

As for me my skis are ready after a interesting afternoon of fuel lines rotting and breaking all over. Now if someone could teach me how to pack. Im trying to hit the road tomorrow around noon. See ya there !!!!

Talk about a fly on the wall. Id settle for just an innocent bystander in the parking lot when my wife would be pulling in with my van. That would be cool in a demo-derby kind of way.
Yep, the van is just a tad big for her.

The laptop is a great idea but I don't see how it would help her make my lunch. E-waffles might look good but she needs to get me the real thing.
