Ross, Jake, Chris and I rode point Loma on Friday and the surf was good but wasn’t all that big. We rode really early to beat the surfers and the video didn’t really turn out (too dark). Saturday we were back in Oceanside. I forgot to recharge my batteries from the previous day so I didn’t even bring out my camera. (Big Mistake) Only a few people showed up to ride. The surf was going off, the biggest it’s been all year. We all rode up to the river mouth but there were a ton of tow surfers and it was kinda walled out, so Matt Smith and I went back and just rode the north jetti at DMJ’s. We just scored, it was a gluttony of surf riding porn. The sets were a solid double overhead and breaking for a 150-200 yards, and not only was it was stupid big, it was super glassy too. Kevin Rickon and friend showed up later but went up to the river mouth (I don’t know why???) You really wouldn’t believe it unless you saw it, if I didn’t have such a drooling smile on my face I’d be bummed that I didn’t have my camera with me.
