jeffs not associated with blowsion...

he said every one thinks that but he never worked for them

I know he's not, but both of them know the fiberglass products company everybody seems to be making fun of me over.

however, jeff and mud used to be associated, until jeff decided to do his own thing, and that ended up being a total piss in JB's grapenuts.

o ok....

jeffs a great guy just needs a secretary or something.

i really don't think theres much to be done to a square hood besides change in materials its made out of. and design will reduce some weight

actually, the back/top corners could stand to be rounded over a bit.

yeah not too much can be done but i think the hood could loose about 1 1/2 inches in height and try to make it a little wider up top like the roundnose hoods. My buddy steve's WF hood with a stock pole has the pole about a half inch higher than the hood and still is comftable for them hood tricks.

I think in order for the hood to sell, it will need to look different... lowered a little and a hell of a lot lighter... I still think the price may be too high for the average square rider...

i understand that you might think the price is high but if the maker isnt making any money, he wont be making any hoods either. nobody is going to shape new plugs, make molds from them and start producing parts w/o any profit to be had from it.

well, wait......

who here has the number to that brazilian sweatshop?

Whats the average price for a RN hood? Isn't it 800+ with the nose piece? I could care less about a SN nose piece. There has to be more SN riders that have refoamed, installed foothold, reinforced, and don't want to start over on a RN project that they gotta pay close to 1000 bucks just for a low pro hood and nose piece, + the other typical hull mods like poles, footholds, turf, after they get a hull. 650 is high but not unreasonable, if someone can make a profit off each hood then there is a market i would think, just a small one.

615 Freeriders are addicted to T1 madness.
It would be awesome to see one that includes a strong (easy to instal) nose piece incorporated into a total design but in that $650.00 total range.
I think it would be easier and cheaper to build the square hood than a round hood.
The nose piece, hood and handle pole design are my only turn offs to a square vrs. a round. If there were an economical way to change those 3 things then the round would be a viable option for me.

You have my attention.:cool2:

I was thinking about getting rid or the square and going after another roundie, BUT if there was a nice looking hood/nose for the SN I would reconsider.

IMO, the SN is a look to itself, where the RN looks like a modified Kawi....

:haha:

that ski has been drydocked since january...I just put it all back togehter 2 weeks ago with fresh motor....

damn it feels good to ride her again.....I cant believe how much of a differnce dry foam makes......

dry foam = very flickable

wet foam = great handling in choppy water

brraap....thats so 2002
if you need a mold for the liner ill let you use mine it has rear drains incoreated into it so the finish on the back of the hood is real sano.

you know with a good looking hood nose peice combo for a square (like ronny macs red boat) and the addition of a x metel pole and bracket there wouldnt be a need for a round nose boats at all.

well, from what I understand, john wanted jeff to produce skis and parts under blowsions discretion, jeff said screw that because john was trying to keep too tight of a leash on his actions, so he moved off and started his own thing, without being harnessed and moderated by john. I'm not really sure about all that "teaching" stuff, I don't think jeff was there long enough to "learn" much in the way of production techniques, but I don't doubt that his skills improved just being around there. I think jeff was well on his way to having developed skills long before he ever brushed elbows with blowsion.
