Does it come with those 17 degree shortened handlebars?

What about tray padding?

Those new aluminum Yamaha impellors are stellar...

The aluminum props are lighter, so they rev up quicker. Everyone knows they are way better than the stainless crap that every other manufacturer is using.

I'd like to thank Yamaha Motor Corp for reawarding my brand loyalty!!!!!

I wonder how much the profit yamaha is making on the sj. Same molds and engines for years. They should pump some cash back into updating the sj with possible new props and pipe design or something along those lines.

After 10 years without any significant changes it's kinda like kissing your sister isn't it ? . . . . . . . .

Seriously, how hard would it be to throw the buying public a bone and drop a 760 in it or add a redesigned cowl or . . . . well . . . just about ANYTHING ! ?

I'm glad they are still availible . . . really I am . . . but I definitley agree it's time for something a little more soul stirring than . . . . .

BNG or not I am Happy to see it is still for sale. Business 101 don’t price yourself out of the market. The amount of money tied up on new molds new motor anything they would have to sell a lot of units before recapping their money then start to think about a profit. If it costs more to build, market and distribute something then the market will bear it isn’t advantageous to pursue the endeavor. Also once you find a profitable formula, product etc ride it for as long as it remains profitable. The molds, tooling etc for the SJ probably took a couple years to recap the initial investment then the line became profitable, now they maximize the profitability of the line. So even if they sell half as many units as they did per year in the first 4 years their profit is still greater and that reflects the bottom line. Let’s face it that is why they are in business, to make money. I don’t anticipate a change beyond graphics until Yamaha is forced to change in one way or another. And again isn’t the EPA legislation written in such a manner that you can continue to sell 2 stroke as long as they were manufactured before a specific date..thought read that someplace. The EPA legislation in one form or another will force the redesign or death of the superjet...which do you think it will be is the real question? I look at the 10th year of the round nose as ten years of interchangeable spare parts to keep them running for another 20 years.
