NOTHING goes in there. it looks like an oil fill on a lawnmower, but its not. keep it DRY. MAYBE a quick shot of dumbya-D.

you only need to remove the pump, not the impeller. the one on my old ski came off completely and didnt cavitate in the least. it was a solas with a rubber boot. i doubt thats your cavitation problem.

i wasnt saying it would die out. im just saying that the position of the f/a looks like its causing the cable to take a sharp bend around it in order to get to the carb. heres how our x2's are set up.....

if the groove is proportionally deeper as it is wider (than the other one), id think it wouldnt seal properly.
