18-23 footers on Lake Erie tonight!
Today: southeast winds to 30 knots becoming southwest and increasing to gales to 45 knots this afternoon. Occasional rain showers. Occasional snow showers this afternoon. Waves 4 to 6 feet building to 13 to 17 feet.
Tonight: southwest storm force winds to...
Most people didn't ride that day...
Water was warm...but the air was wayyyy colder than 65. Maybe a different year Rager? The wave height sounds about right....Most people didn't go to the outer breaks, but wayyy out there, they had 10'foot faces for sure... I have vid of that day somewhere.
Nice to see ya on here, Caker. How big was that cold day at the Jersey Rager with the rain and chit? It's been awhile so I forget....
I agree on the Niagara being gnarley... :rocketwhore:
12-14ft. Anarchy on Lake Erie..... We haven't had waves like that in over 5 years (at least during the day!)
8-12ft. Surf @ Jersey Rager with the Caker (cold as hell that day, in the 40's and raining!) Really close together. Drank some salt water that day...
....both days scared the crap...
I think they are the only pole besides the AC that uses Kawi hardware...
A -2 Superjet pole is a big improvement on steering...if you wanna go cheaper, the SJ AC's look pretty good on a kawi or even a stock SJ pole.
Good for you bro...Matt, you still up for some cold water riding...our water is only 47 degrees right now....I don't think I would hit it in 24 degree air though! I want at least 45 degree air!
...after seeing Matt in Niagara, and us going out in washing machine 13-15 footers several times that have sank Tankers, I have no doubt that he would go out and ride in anything.
I actually think Wydopen and Matt would hang out together and ride if they were both on the west coast...
