I can't believe I just read this entire thread, I guess I need a life. :biggrin: Those pictures you posted show clear signs of detonation to me. A snagged ring is a violet event that will drop compression in a hurry sending chunks flying but it will not melt the piston ring retainer hole...

I cut the sides and bottom out in one piece. Was a snap to defoam, seal up and to reinstall. The only way to fly. :biggthumpup:

I used lawn tractor tires from Lowes when I built my cart. The rims are steel and sooner or later will rust but I didn't want to spend the $$$ on some fancy plastic ones. Cart rolls easy on any sand.

I hate to break up this family love but back to the fun. We have a nice riding area right by the road that leads to the only boat ramp for miles. Couchers see us there and think that it's a cool spot with no waiting in the boat ramp line. Not asking us, the locals if this is a good place...

Great topic. Today, me and a friend (both on 650 squares with pipes) tried. We were thinking if this is even possible on a 650 or if more power is a must. I can't even get the thing upside down but I think it's all me. I suck no matter how many times I watch the videos. It's a painful...

It may be sufficient and JB weld might do the job, but what if it fails ?? Not much fun chasing an air leak, replacing pistons while you could be riding. What I'm saying is that there are too many maybes, ifs and buts for me to trust those cases. Unless, you are just playing around with some...

Just wet sand it than clear the whole thing.
