I hate to admit it but you are correct. Although my time or resale value wouldn't be a concern there is the cost of materials. Well there goes that theory out the window. :biggthumpup: I guess air bladders instead of foam and/or more power would make more sense.

The 2 bolts do have rubber isolators/washers on both sides of the aluminum. This thing is made of some thin aluminum so I doubt it could ever crack a bed plate but I bet that without the rubber isolators the cover would be the one that cracks. As for price ????? He was bored and had one...

For the price of a new SJ you could buy one that has just about everything on it. Don't sweat the new thing. Once you start doing tricks that new SJ wont look very new.
