Add one compressor, hoses, gun,....
I just don't have all the right gear for that right now.
Trust me, when the time comes to do my RN hull (have to get one first) rattle cans will not even be stored close to it.
Thanks Crash.
I'm going to see if the local places have that clear.
This paint job is just an experiment and if the hull ends up looking like a$$ I'll rip it all off and get a proper paint job.
Still, it's just a square. I wouldn't want to spend a grand in paint when I could put that in...
Yes, I did buff the test piece. Only with soft paste and by hand but the shine wasn't coming out at all. Might have to give it another try tomorrow with the buffer.
The black flowed extremely well for a hot & humid day and it seams like this stuff can take some abuse. I hit the test piece...
How about an update.
Have you tried to wet sand and buff that black epoxy ?
I just did my hull and as the paint was drying a bunch of love bugs landed on the wet paint. Not that the murder scene doesn't look cool but wanted to see if I can sand and buff this paint.
Just painted my hull sides with this stuff in black,
http://www.rustoleum.com/product.asp?frm_product_id=33&SBL=1
it came out OK for the limited prep I did and the fact that it is from a rattle can.
Now, I was thinking of doing the top deck in the same stuff.
Problem is that I tried to...
I have been using my REVs since last year, love them.
Haven't tried the enclosures yet but a friend should have his done soon, he's mounting the enclosures.
I personally think it looks good but (and there always has to be a "but"),
I would like to see the orange on an all black hull.
That's what I might be doing soon anyway.
Bilge pumps can be mounted on fancy brackets or just glued down to the hull right by your mid-shaft.
Require basic wiring and a bit of bilge hose and a through hull fitting.
Nothing there that would require a visit to the dealer.
Do a quick search on here and you will find a ton of info...
Best advice is to hook up with another (hopefully more experienced) rider.
You can watch a bunch of videos that are online and look at a whole stack of pictures but seeing it live is a totally different thing.
Other than that just ride as much as you can.
Soon enough you will get bitten by...
Yes, on the left before the bridge as you come from Naples and there is parking there.
I'm a bit pi$$ed as I didn't get my ski finished so I won't be able to come out and play.
I might be able to talk a friend into heading out to show you the way around. He has a blue RN and knows the area.
