Hmmm, never thought of that. Did you keep them nose up or down? Dosen't sound like a bad idea, as long as I got you strong guys to help me get them the hell out of the truck when I get there  ( I got a bad back :frown: )
I'm gonna be there, can't wait. I need to get some more brap before then... Butch you gonna have a B-pipe for me before then?
I know you guys have beach totes, but I am hoping I will have mine built before then. I'm also trying to figure out how to bring three skis (2 SJ's and 1 SXR)...
My rack is made of the same material, 2x2x.25 sq stock, I would never think twice about the rack failing, but I would second guess the recieving hitch conected to the truck
Got an SJ, just no pictures of it.
From all the research i have done, no companies make these racks any longer. Only choice is to build one or find a used one like I did.
Check out my rack (hubba hubba)!!!
Bought it used from a guy that had it custom made. Works great and I like that it has lights.
My $0.02. I would never put a trailer on the with the rack. Too much tounge weight. A recieving hitch is only rated for 500-600lbs.
My neighboor is rebuilding a 79 suzuki side kick and he lined the whole inside and the roll bar. looks great. on the rust spots he used something like POR on the rust then lined over it.
I know it is a long shot, but the starter bendix could be rusting up to the point that is almost frozen. I had a bendix go out, and I had a similar set of problems.
I believe the amount an impeller is cut back depends on that impellers original design. but if the skat and solas are comparable, i don't know. i love my 13/16 3mm cut back solas impeller though
My 92 550sx came with a Mikuni
EDIT: correction, i just went outside and took a look, one 550sx has a keihn carb, and the other has a mikuni, i remember changing it now.
