I just had the same problem today. Push the start button and not even a click. I ohmed out the start button by putting an ohmmeter accross the connector that goes to the ebox and it was good.. So the start switch is good. When checking my fuse I noticed the wire going to the fuse had a bump in...
Just got a new to me SN Superjet. Thing runs strong but is butt ugly so we're doing a build project. I found this in the hull tie wrapped to a cooling line down near the coupler. What is it and where does it go? The ski did not have a coupler cover on it, so I bought one and figured this...
Thanks guys... I think I'll keep it. As ugly as it was, it runs great.
160 compression on both holes, brand new SBN 44, Solas 13/17 prop, and footholds.
Its a great starter platform for a freestyle ski.
I just bought this Superjet for a great price ( probably because it's butt ugly). It's already repainted and we're putting on new turf, scupper valve, hood straps, and pole limiter. The handle pole doesn't look like the stock pole on a 90 SN. This one is quite a bit shorter. Anyone know what it's?
I used the turf with the 3m adhesive for the rails on my skis. The first 4 or 5 rides I had to glue it back down with DAP contact cement where it lifted, but now it stays on fine. If I were to do it again I would use the turf without adhesive and just use contact cement from the start.
I like it. I wear a jet pilot side entry vest because I like to try hood tricks and don't want the buckles getting caught on or scratching my handle pole or hood.
Great pics! Heres More GoPro video from last weekend. Your back flip attempt. We'll get one on film before the summers out.

He's just saving energy by not using all his fingers when he waves...
Missed you yesterday... Only had to tow the 550 three times... Had a beginner rider with us that was testing the battery and starter... Time for a new battery!
Thanks... It called "Problem Child" for a reason, but when it's not breaking down it's fun.
Next time I'm going to try rainex on the lens of the camera to try and avoid the water spots.
Your gas tank has a check valve on it. You can blow in the check valve to pressurize the tank. That will help the gas flow to the carb. If you use starter fluid make sure you use 2 stroke fluid. Especially if these skis have not run in a while.
Good luck. 550s like to break. You'll be a jet ski...
41 degree air temp... Water felt warm... Hail on the highway actually looked like snow. High wind broke loose a section of dock from thenlaunch ramp.
Old school kawis still on the water
My Kawi getting towed in after I filled the cylinders with water was funnier until the tow rope incident... And the leaking exhaust manifold.
Great times riding anyway. I think his tow rope is worth more than my entire ski... :-)
Looks awesome in person too! Nice seeing you guys at El Cap yesterday... My son can't stop talking about your skis and skills... Thanks for giving him (us) tips.
