Super Jet This thing has caused more grief than fun.

Before you take the carb off... Try putting your hand over the carb throttle body and crank it over. You should see fluid dripping into the carb afterward. If you don't then it's likely the needle valve... If you do then the fluid is probably water... Not gas.

Super Jet This thing has caused more grief than fun.

I had a similar issue once. My fuel tank vent fell into the bottom of the ski and sucked water into the fuel tank. Make sure you don't have water in your tank. You can check by siphoning a bit out from the bottom of the tank into a water bottle. You'll see right away if there's water in it.

Super Jet Stock scupper, keep or toss? "90 SN

I d keep it just in case your electric bilge fails... Unless you run two bilges or an aftermarket scupper valve so you have a back up.

Super Jet Should I be running dual cooling?

Thats a sounds like a good system. My other ski has two 500gph bilges and the stock bilge just in case.i had one electric bilge fail because a piece of tie wrap blocked it.

Super Jet Should I be running dual cooling?

I blocked mine off because I installed a scupper valve. I wouldn't want rely on a single electic bilge, because if it fails, youre f&$/Ed... especially if you ride surf. I'd recommend keeping the stock bilge or install a scupper. The scupper install is actually pretty easy and gets water out the...

Super Jet Should I be running dual cooling?

I run a 61x with ADA head (180psi), B pipe wih flow control, on single cooling with two pissers ( one off the head and one off the stinger). I rant in havasu in 118 degrees and 90 degree water with no problems. You should be good.

Super Jet Unhooked SJ Hoses, Help :)

The one that goes into the handle pole should be the vent tube for the gas tank. It probably connects to a water separator and then to you gas tank. The one on the back looks like an engine flush hose with a quick connect fitting on it. It's used to flush the engine after running in salt water.

Super Jet Epic scupper valve install on SN Superjet

You are correct that the outer billet housing outside diameter is 3" and the outside diameter of the PVC pipe is 2 1/2 ". You may not need the plug with this scupper valve. I don't leave my ski in the water for long periods of time but I have had it sitting in the water with the hood of and...

    Super Jet Frogzskin and Pro-K

i tested the frogzskin before installing it by making a bowl out of it. I poured water in the bowl and it did not leak out... It was watertight. I have a stock FA, but the ski seems to run better with the Pro-K so I was just looking for a solution. I might try an outerwear as well, but some...

    Super Jet Frogzskin and Pro-K

I like to run my 701 SN underwater, or at least try tricks that get alot of water in the hull. We installed an Epic Scupper combined with a 500gph bilge that works great most of the time. The problem is i run an open element flame arrester (tau ceti or Pro-K) and sometime water splashes into...

Super Jet Epic scupper valve install on SN Superjet

I haven't had it long enough to tell how reliable it is. The epic scupper uses magnets to pull it shut so of all the scuppers it should be the most reliable in terms of sealing up. I never leave my ski in the water anyway so I don't worry if it leaks anyway. I've looked in the engine bay while...

    Super Jet Coupler removal

Got the coupler off. First I soaked it in DuPont penetrating oil. After considering my options I thought I'd try the dead blow with a hammer since it don't intend to use the coupler again. A couple of sharp whacks with the hammer and off it came.... I'm surprised since this motor was run in...
