check your cooling lines from the pump. If you had sand in the water jacket, i bet the cooling line is plugged or partly plugged. use compressed air to blow them out.

Check this out... It's a fiber optics camera with a light on the tip... the kind that SWAT teams use to look under a door into a room before breaching it.

Crap... I just ordered the ATP grate to go in my new BOB Gen3 (hull should be shipped next week). You didn't happen to snap any pics of your grinding job before you installed it did you? Do you recall the length you cut the mounting bolts to?
Thanks,
Bill

Best for freestyle is the factory flame arrestor (but I don't use one because it's butt ugly). I find the ProK is the next best. I also run a Tau Ceti on one ski.

Have you emptied your fuel tanks, emptied the water traps, and blown out the fuel lines. If there is water in the tank or water trap, you can get random no starts. Check by siphoning from the bottom of the tank... I once took about 20 ounces of water out of my tank that way.
Another thing to...
Hahahaha... wait until wifey finds out how much easier the SJ is to ride... I'd start getting used to the 550!! :-)

Saw that sexy intake grate and just had to order one for our BOB build.
Weird though... Ordering from a Canadian Company to deliver to a Canadian ... in San Diego.

Welcome to the sport man... It's addictive... nice choice of skiis. :-)
Don't get frustrated... if you can ride a 550, you can ride anything.
Post up some pics of the new boats.

I ride at mission bay, o-side, and the reservoir... none of them suck as you say. Each has their pros and cons and anyplace to ride is a good place.
The reservoir has a great group of guys who are stand up enthusiasts, some very talented riders. Launching is easy and you can camp out right at...
Yes... $7 launch fee and $10 "Water Contact" fee per person.
There is a large area for PWCs to play in and no restrictions on "freestyle riding".
Rangers are pretty cool too.
