Go get that SuperJet and put some footholds in it.

The 13/22 prop wants to be on the top end, remember, the SX-R is a race ski. Send the prop to Impros.com and they can cut it back 5mm (remove 5mm of steel from bottom of the prop putting it closer to the vanes) and repitch it. The stockers really only like to be brought back to a 13/21 or so...

Riding that fast on a Superjet is terrifying.

The Kawis are faster, handle better, and cooler people ride them. Yamahas are light and jump easily, a better freestyle ski. TONS of aftermarket and are easy to work on.

Sorry you couldn't find an SX-R. Well, never fear, with another three grand into that SuperJet, it will be almost as fast but it still won't handle as well. I think $3800 is a reasonable price. Yamahas are also easy to work on.

It works on the lower end of the 2003's RPM band but just not all the way up. Perhaps if I left the timing plate on . . . who knows. Tim says the Advent should solve the problem and honestly, it "feels" like he would be right. At the top of the RPM band, it feels like it just needs more fire...

No and me too, sort of. I now have a functioning lightweight flywheel on my stock 2005 and a heavy stocker on my big bore. I told Tim I would pitch down the prop and cheat the acceleration that way.

Whenever I see "return", I'm impressed. But then again, I'm also impressed by your rugged, good looks so it could be that my standards are low.

I run in questionable water so the exhaust cooling mod was not done. I did get a change to feel the intake blockoff that was done. Pretty cool.

I just got the stocker replaced on the 2003 and the RPMs are topping out at 6550 and is sounding like it should. Damn. YouTube - Stock flywheel in 2003 SX-R

The 2005 topped out at 6634 rpms with the TBM installed. Here's a video of the second go around. I now will install the stock 2005 flywheel in the 2003. YouTube - 2005 SX-R with TBM Flywheel

Both bendixes look good and got a full re-lube. Hmm. The date is wrong on my camera.
