Update time,mounts for the pump are glued in ,waiting on the epoxy to dry then I will glass over the inserts top and bottom to make this as strong as I can get it.I would not suggest to anyone else to do it this way,its time consuming and a PITA,glassing in aluminum bar stock from the bottom...

No main jets in that round body carb just fixed jets,honestly I woul put it at three turns out on the high speed and try it out 550's are gas hogs you will probably find the jet size is pretty close.

How is using base -clear the right way to do a repair over single stage? If it has base -clear on it I repair it with base-clear ,if it has single stage on it I burn in the single stage with blender.Its kind like doing a paint repair over gelcoat,it will never match perfectly regardless of what...

The blueish purple color is the last one I repaired, it was base -clear,I have repaired many of the white skis they are single stage.Tryin to spray white SW single stage is like trying to spray water.

Its a lot different than doing base -clear,base clear is easy to hide repairs with ,the single stage takes a bit of finesse,I got quite good at blending the repairs to the point that I would ask the customers to find the repaired area , they couldn't.

The paint I was shooting was SW single stage as most all of the older factory Yamaha paint is single stage and SW did have the paint codes,the newer stuff such as the VX models are basecoat -clearcoat, but generally what I did was spot repair,lots of paint blending,repairing noses knocked off...

The scan eye as they call it is not an exact match because it works off of the database of colors and tones and tint the closest match to the paint that you have,Grezzmky for sure will argue with me but personally I wouldn,t waste my time with SW auto paint.When I first got in the painting biz...
