I used the Everstart ES4-LB from Walmart all last summer. Worked great in my superjet, and at only 4lbs it was awesome. the drawback for me came in fall. I had to go back to my Dekka Gel battery as the ES4-LB only has abou 30 CCA's (cold cranking amps) where the heavier Dekka has over 300...

Just got my XFT 3" monster scupper in today, along with my wrist pins from Riva... looks like this week i can finally finish putting my motor together and finish the tray - install scupper, lay in the poly foam, and install the cut out tray. after this weekend my ski will be just about ready...

Matt, what Bostik adhesive did you use? 920 Urethane Marine Sealant/Adhesive has extended open time to provide up to 6 hours of repositionability. It provides excellent weatherability and strong, flexible bonds above or below the waterline. 920 bonds to most boat building materials...

I haven't completely settled on a color yet. however, I might just paint the entire ski white - and do some sick vinyl wrap.

thanks... hood is nearly complete... here's a look on the ski...

got the inside good and clean (with amonia/water) and re-painted it with marine paint. got the hood project nearly complete... 1st layer of marine filler complete and sanded. Just need to fill in the low spots, sand again and seal with a coat of epoxy.

living up north, I've had that happen before. My shop is heated by a wood burning stove that I cannot leave unattended. So once I finish up for the day, whenever I work with epoxy during the winter I make sure to put a lamp near the project when I am finished. Sometimes I will cover it like...

Mark, if I recall correctly you are using some brass fittings rather than drain plugs? How do they work compared to the plugs like Matt used? And did you epoxy them in from the inside? Thanks...

i picked a set up last month... i'll be using the setup on my new ski this spring. Can't wait to try it out. I've got the XMW set up on my current ski... works great as well... love the shorter plate and straight bars.

I have an older one that i sent to Chuckie at Team Scream. He opened up the head pipe and manifold, and cut a gasket to match as well. I have a brand new FPP B-pipe now... and was also wondering whether to open it up a bit more or just leave it?

i know... i picked up 6 of the blocks (12" x 12" x 18") and only used 1.5 of them to fill the entire rear of the ski. It's even lighter than I expexted.

Lookin good Matt. I'm goin the same route with the foam, although I picked up 12x12x18" blocks from Tractor Supply Company and cut them into pieces to fit. Same concept though. I can tell you that the same volume of two part foam would be at least 3x's heavier than what the poly is.
