i always use regular rtv silicone... have never had one pump break free... dries in hours. wipe it up and silicone it in. just my opinion...
some will say "gas will eat away at the silicone". well i have had puddles of gas soaking around the bilge mounts for more than a week and nothing...

I just replaced the midshaft with a nice minty one with perfect splines and buttery bearings.
I replaced my first drive shaft on a pump also. Used a 4x4 and a mini sledge hammer. It was interesting but not hard. Am riding a skat swirl small hub 13/18 for the time being until I get my new prop...
