2- Dual fiberglass Scupper tunnels

4- Grind ribs

As it was originally a Square Nose Sponge Bob, keeping the topdeck would not have made sense.
It was extremely easy to remove.
I started from the firewall forward. Cut the topdeck off above the bond rail, and then used a 4" chisel and hammer to seperate the top...
Believe it or not, there was maybe a cup of water in the foam, and a 1/4 of a beer!:1244: :bigeyes:
There was so little water in it, I was curious to see how long it has been out of the water so I PM'd Chic.
Tools required:
1 Sawsall
1 four inch chisel
1 big arse hammer:bigeyes:
1 wire wheel
1 cordless drill
6 pack of favorite beverage
Time required:
1.1/2 hours to take topdeck off
.5 hours to de-foam bottom deck

I was amazed at how easy the top deck was to take off, and...
The footholds in a 550 widen the very narrow tray. Regardless of your stance, they do help on the one I ride.
Do you NEED them, no. Are they nice to have and worth the work, yes.
