He did check the compression. I would start checking my ground, starter, bendix and impeller clearance on the one that is turning over slow. You should be able to turn that engine over by hand with 150ish compression.

It sounds like there are issues with the ski that does not turn over quickly. I can turn the engine over by hand on a freshly rebuilt 1100.:wink:
