The XMW pole is more than 9.5 pounds, at least the one I saw was noticeably heavier than a UMI.

    Waterdawg's 1200cc R.E.V.

Well they're fixed now. But at the time he was pressed for time. I talked to him the Monday before WF's and he was just painting it. He left Wednesday. That doesn't leave a whole lot of time for assembly and tuning. So I'd say he did a pretty kick-ass job just getting to WF with the ski.

What do you mean he lied about it? 1. It was sold to a customer. He was supposed to pick it up at Havasu. However, he only had half the $$$ with him. 2. It had some tuning issues.

http://www.superjett.com/albums/videos/New%20stuff/havasurev12.wmv Looks like it was tested to me. Superramjet and a few others got to ride it too. It had a few bugs to be worked out, but even so, it was never meant to be a demo ski.

If you look at the OEM parts finder on Riva, for OEM Seadoo exhaust valve parts it's about $250 per cylinder for all the parts and only $80 or so of that is the valve itself. I gotta imagine a Racer's Edge valve is more than a Seadoo valve. Either way, it's not much of a difference on a...

I'm just posting what has been posted in the past. I don't know if Lamey's valves are cheaper than Seadoo valves (I'd guess not), but just buying all the exhaust valve parts for a Seadoo costs at least $500 per engine (look at the prices on Riva.com). This wouldn't include the cost to machine...

Because my boss just quit and so did another engineer and so I got most of their crap to work on, plus I still have all the crap I usually work on  I know you were just kidding  This thread reminds me I need to finish the Total Money Makeover. I only got half way...

WD has nothing to do with it, the company I work for just filed for bankruptcy today, so I'm thinking I should keep a little larger emergency fund :banghead: Although I think my job is very safe. I'm already maxing out my 401K so I figure I'm not doing too bad. I have till April next year...

I'd like an X-2 better if it had a built engine. And nice paint.

Not bad, the wait for a Lamey seems to be a lot longer than that.

I would look for a different company. I used Vanguard when I rolled over my 401K from the company I left earlier this year. They have among the lowest expenses. If you don't have much debt, you might as well start the Roth now. You can only contribute $4,000 a year. Just go for it. I...

BTW, you don't need a REV or an X-Jet hull, Jeff has a conversion kit to mount it to a Superjet.

    Waterdawg's 1200cc R.E.V.

If Jeff's complete 1200cc top end is $4,000 (I have no idea if that's correct) then it is actually priced quite reasonably. Here's what a typical Lamey top end might cost: $1,800 unported cylinder $300 cylinder porting $600 exhaust valves + machine work for them (maybe more if pipe is...

Okay I'm sorry I brought up Sub :frown: I have no idea how Jeff will handle his business in the future, but I don't think he is running water injection on his pipes now. He says they don't need it.

    Waterdawg's 1200cc R.E.V.

Jeff didn't use a stock crank, he used an aftermarket one (stock stroke) but it has billet steel webs, beefier rods, etc. Cost probably = more than a grand. The price must be fair because Sub hasn't $hit a brick about it yet :cheer:
