    weight of SN hood stock??

How does that work? The bulkhead should be the same distance from the rear on both styles, because they use the same pump and driveshaft. I'll measure mine next week and post what I find.

His website says $800 with the nosepiece and billet bracket, which is probably a 12 pound hood. He can also make prepreg hoods, which are around 7 pounds.

The Yamaha and Kawasaki triple came out in 1995. Then in 1996/1997 they got bigger. Good times back then  It was also around 1993-1994 that they got good looking hulls. Everything before then looked like it was from the 70's.

I saw Roo's white WCF hood and I'd guess it was 12-13 pounds. It felt the same weight as my WD hood.

I really do think he will get better at shipping parts now that he has what he set out to design (prepreg hulls, the 1200cc engine, the custom pipe, etc.) It took a TON of work to develop these parts, way more than most people realize. He's been pretty good delivering footholds for a while now.

I know two people who have done FPU and not long after they were back to old habits. They never even got debt free and both of these couples I am thinking of financed a camper and a car (after FPU). So that's why I think either it's your personality or it's not. One couple says they are...

I agree, but going aftermarket is $$$$$$, at least twice the cost. There's no reason Yamaha can't make a better hull and put a GP800 engine in it.

How would that be anywhere close to the dimensions we run today?? It would be like the engine in a Hydrospace. Ever look inside a Hydrospace? :banghead: I doubt it would fit in a Superjet.

New models do help sales. The last year for the SXi-Pro was around 500 units if I remember correctly, and when the SX-R came out it sold like 2,500 units or so.

I did but what does it mean? We need sales by model  PWC's were never cheap, the Waveblaster sold for almost $6,000 when it first came out. So figure what that price is with inflation, and compare it to a huge new 4-stroke for under $10,000 and you will see prices are actually...

He could have used GP mounts if he cut up a GP hull and glued them in

    FX-1000cc-66e

You can't put the GP mounts in the FX-1, because you're right the bosses on the hull are angled on the FX-1. But you should be able to mount the GP engine to the FX-1 rear mounts. The FX-1 uses the same bedplates as the Superjet, remember. On the X-Jet, the back mounts line up and the front...

Polycarbonate is not plexiglass. And I'm sure those sponsons worked as well as anyone elses parabolic type sponsons. For 1/4 the price of other sponsons, I can't believe you're still ripping on them! The workers Jeff hired last year weren't up to his standards, so of course he fired them...

Are you just trying or are you gazellle intense?!? I haven't finised the Makeover book yet, but I would recommend it to everyone. It explains all the steps and gives some good stories to really kick you in the pants. If it doesn't motivate you... what will FPU do? Only thing I can...

    FX-1000cc-66e

Why didn't the back mounts line up just fine? They line up on the X-Jet. I'd be a little cautious if those are old mounts... you're doubling the stock horsepower, the mounts might not last long. The GP's come with stiffer mounts.
