Have faith. That's my natural, non-surf stance position anyway. I think it will put the weight distribution just right for ME (not for everyone). Think about where your center of mass is when doing rolls in surf stance. I don't think this will be much different.
Thanks for the compliments.
It's a -4 Xmetal pole and it looks awesome on there. I'll try to put the bracket back on and get another pick. I put the footholds further forward because my fat azz tends to make my current ski ride too nose high. Also, the pole is going to be very short overall. Since I redid the pole...
The rod holders are almost at the back of the ski. I cut them short and used a couple of elbows that I cut from radiator hoses to connect from the pvc to the rod holder. I double clamped everything and foamed back around it. It may eventually rot someday, but if I get half the life that a...
Yesterday I had the first of many multiple-hour sanding sessions. I'm starting to feel good about this thing and where it's going. Today I cut down the sides to their rough shape. I still have a long way to go, but my goal is to get it ready for paint within 2-3 weeks. So far I've gone...
That about sums it up Saki. That seems to cover all the bases. What about the posers with a dead ski and no tow rope? What's the "I'm a dumbass and don't carry a tow rope" signal?

Winter finally reached Florida. Last weekend the air and water temps were in the lower 60's and it was definitely full wetsuit time. I wish spring would get here.
I'm going to bling the crap out of mine. If it's metal, it'll be shiny. I bought a metal polishing setup with about 8 buffing wheels and a ton of different compounds. Now I have to buy a few more compounds to buff out the sand-cast parts.
He who has the most bling wins right?
Actually, I...
