What's wrong with the welds? What kind of welding does your shop do? Thin aluminum tubing isn't the easiest thing in the world to weld. Pat's company is a high end specialty welding and machining shop. I'm pretty sure they know what they are doing.

Those hoses are NOT cheap. I had to get some sizes other than Pat's standards to do some custom exhaust routing and Napa bent me over on two hoses. They do appear to be good hoses though. No exposed wire like in most flex hoses. Pat's very reasonable on everything he sells. I doubt that...

If it's like my 06 slippery vest, the buckles are towards the back and it's nearly impossible to unbuckle them after you're tired from riding or wearing a wetsuit. I hate that design.

My pole is going to be at least 6.5" short due to -4" pole, -2.5" turnplate and a change in bracket mounting geometry. I figured with my fat arse, I had to do that in order to keep the nose down. I'm leaving a toe cutout in the back on one side for riding surf stance.

Thanks. That's what I needed. Approximately how long and wide is the opening/bucket? Is it best to have any overhang along the rear edge where you will grab?

I'm going to add a rear handhold to my buildoff boat. I know that I've seen pictures around here before, but I can't find anything right now. I just need a pic or two so that I can make the bucket and go. I'm hoping to finish all my under the tray work this weekend and then seal it all up...

I just got hosed on shipping. 6 yards of glass cloth and a quart of cleaner was $24. There's no F'ing way that it cost 24 bucks to ship that. FYI I had to buy the cloth from them because US composites didn't have what I needed.

I'm pretty sure Lake Martin will be PWC friendly. Heck, the state park where we're talking about rents Seapoos. Paul, are there any alternate dates for Lake Martin or is that the only one?

My vote goes to Lake Martin. I'll attend either and be equally as happy. I think right now the DNR uncertainty makes Altoona a little shaky. If it's on Lake Martin, my brother said he'd bring his sailboat across the lake for the weekend to hang out, but it doesn't kick up much of a wake:rolleyes:
