i think the plush is newer so I think time will tell. It feels denser than the standard 25mm so maybe it will not get smashed.

I like my 25mm plush. I have never owned a ski with standard 25mm to compare it to though. Yes it was a pain in the butt to work with. Pretty stiff when working with it. Was tough placing a single solid piece that fit the bottom that ran into the footholds.

regardless of whether the impeller needs to be reconditioned, is the wear ring itself alright also?

true, a ligthend 61x will be lighter than a lightend 62T, but I think the 62T has less rotational mass (mass closer to the hub).

sorry to hear about the engine blowing, but sweet about the JW engine. I have a cylinder at Art's now. Gonna assemble the engine, break it in, then take it down to him to have him power tune it. Well thats my plan atleast.
