From what I remember those have the plastic connection for the grey elect box made onto them meaning a regular one won't work, I should have one of these laying around , 951 engine in that ski correct. I have tons of spare Seadoo parts.

The only shaft longer is from an X2, at any rate the total length on a 550 coupler is 2 1/4" and I have one in hand

I am assuming the pump location is fixed, so adding a spacer behind the pump you will lose engagement of the driveshaft to impeller equal to however thick the spacer is, in other words you would need a longer driveshaft

I have a stack of them too the issue is the location of the built up part that goes through the thru hull bearing varies from shaft the shaft so it's not just driveshaft length you have to keep in consideration. SXR 800 driveshaft is already 27 1/8", I believe the only shaft longer than that is...

I can measure up a 550 coupler tomorrow for length, I have a stack of those things somewhere here

I revised my statement after doing some quick research

18 x 1.5 thread pitch. looks like the SXR is 20 x1.5, you could rethread it though

550 coupler is longer

Antifreeze is cheap , engines are not

Anything can be done, some things shouldn't be done but in the end it is up to you if it is worth it or not.

I want to put a 1200 in one , just because I can , I will leave it ugly and outrun skis that cost thirty times as much money.
