I hate the mirrors and guages on it. I think Bruce Wolford's looks good. If I had one I hould have to spend a lot of cash to maybe get an ADA big block in there, sculpt the seat and get some trim tabs. I bet it would make a good surf boat.
You guessed right. They are plastic. Change this thread's topic title to something about painting plastic and I think you will get better responses and we may even be able to include it in the Painting How-to in the Tech FAQ section.

Riding a SJ is easier than riding a JS hull, for sure, but you will have to learn to ride differently because if you try to ride a superjet like a JS, you'll only drinking water and wasting time.

Unless you're going with some one-off carbon aftermarket 750 hull, then there's no question the SJ is better because of its light weight and upgrade availability.
