IIRC, forged Wiseco's are very close to each other in weight and size right out of the box. Anybody sweat that and always buy the whole kit (pair of pistons, rings, clips, gaskets, etc.) just to get a "matched" pair of pistons?
Yamaha gives a spec of 0.012" for impeller shaft runout, but I don't see anywhere a spec for how well the shaft should be centered within the hull where the mid-shaft bearing housing mounts to the inner hull. Anybody know how close to center this needs to be?

You need to pull the pump out. Then you can inspect the condition on the splines on the drive shaft (comes out with pump) to see if they are stripped and also check on your prop size and for any signs of cavitation.
The initial spark you get when connecting the battery is the capacitor drawing its charge. It should fill itself up and hold it. I had an Advent that killed batteries if left connected. They replaced it. The new one does not drain the battery, but now my battery needs replacing :damnit:
