    You have to hold the shaft to remove the impeller, thus the shaft tool. You have to have the impeller tool to remove the impeller. Only a stock impeller does not require an impeller tool. This is a good thing. Different impellers require different impeller tools.

    Actually, it is generically correct. Technically, because the "propeller" is enclosed in a pump, it is called an impeller. This is similar to the use of approximately. Approximate is a close but not precise measurement. Sometimes people use approximate in the context of precise.

    Pump scupper, is it worth the trouble?

    Is it worth the trouble to install a scupper into the pump, vs the transom? Any problems doing that, is it inefficient, etc? Anyone with pics?

    trailer bearings

    If your going to go through the trouble and pull them to inspect, replace them. Are you taking the kids? Can you imagine what it will be like working to replace the bearings on the side of the road? DO NOT FORGET A SPARE TIRE!!!
