Yamaha part numbering system, is there any reasoning

I'm just trying to find cross compatibility on parts. Pump, electronics, etc. Polaris parts finder will tell you what other models use the same parts.

Yamaha part numbering system, is there any reasoning

Is there any way to tell by part numbers if parts for different Yamaha models and years are compatible... Ex: The SuperJet and Blaster coil are interchangable, but have different numbers: 62E-85570-00-00 - IGNITION COIL ASY for 1995 Yamaha Wave Blaster 61L-85570-00-00 - IGNITION COIL ASY for...

How do i know what carburators i have on 96SJ?

BTW: key ID of 38mm carbs is the flame arrestor bolt pattern. 38s have 3 bolts in a triangular configuration 44+ have 4 bolts in a square configuration

Blaster shaft, it is bent? (poor quality video)

... got me thinking... The resistance is only when my brand new solas concord -3mm by impros is installed (which is fine on the superjet). My Skat, no resistance. Last season, I had the bearings and seals replaced in the pump. So I doubt it's the bearings or seals. It appears the 2 "washers"...

Blaster shaft, it is bent? (poor quality video)

Do you mean the bolt only the impeller housing and place the stator to the impeller housing and turn the shaft? Or are you talking about shimming the (aluminum) nozzle?

Blaster shaft, it is bent? (poor quality video)

So, does this look like a bent shaft? The impeller housing is bolted in, pump assembled, and the seal between pump and shoe is removed. There was only one shim on the port tab for the nozzle. You can see the gaps in the attached photos. I am wondering if I have a bent shaft because when I...

so, why is it blasters are prone to stripping shafts?

Are there any other posts on properly aligning the pump to midshaft? I think there is one more, might be on PWCT.
