Home Made Vin's Vs. Swaping Vin's

by the letter of the law it's probably not legal. These A/M guys are typically buying new or almost new skis and putting the running gear in a new hull. Have you ever tried to piece together a ski from nothing but parts? It's expensive as hell. These guys are just trying to get rid of what's...

    b pipe water screw carnage

parrdaddy sells oversized kits with everything you need to go up a size. The easiest way to get them right now is probably through a Hot Products dealer.

    When did footholds come out?

I was reading about air engines the other day. Based on what I read about efficiency, either those guys rode for about 2 minutes at a time or they weren't compressed air engines. The best currently technology is struggling to get a lightweight, purpose built, low hp commuter vehicle to go 30...

    switching to full spec

agreed. I had to use a 46 while waiting on my full spec 49 single. Don't get me wrong, I love the full spec, but it's not a lightswitch difference. You'll notice it and like it, but don't expect anything tremendous.

If you want to stick with an SXR hull, then without a doubt, Trinity Composites is the place to go for a lightweight hull. They have 3 different layup schedules that vary in price and weight. Contact Bobby and he can explain everything to you and give you the names of SXR customers to contact...

    squarenose flat water back flip

I don't know. It might work for you. 802Steve up in Canada can do quick little backflips in about a foot and a half of surf and he's about your size. He rides the most beat squarenose ever and has an 802 Lamey.

    squarenose flat water back flip

Backflips on flatwater aren't quite as automatic as some people perceive. A special purpose aftermarket hull with a huge motor is ideal, but it can be done on anything from a stocker with huge motor to an aftermarket hull with pretty decent motor. The most important factor is rider ability...

    A few quick squarenose questions

The threads on the shaft are smaller than what is on the coupler. A new coupler would just rattle around with no thread engagement. It's probably 3-5mm smaller.

whats a 98 superjet worth? (looking for my first ski)

That was probably the right move. Let him know that the offer stands until you find another one and he very well could sleep on it and change his mind. Wait until he throws it on craig's list and gets $500 offers.....that'll change his mind. Some people just have an inflated view of what...

whats a 98 superjet worth? (looking for my first ski)

That's fairly stock. $2000 would be a pretty good deal, $2500 would be decent and anything over that would be based on just how bad you want one and the condition. If it's mint, then it very well could be worth closer to 3k. Don't over pay too much or you'll be behind where you could be on...
