I don't know. It might work for you. 802Steve up in Canada can do quick little backflips in about a foot and a half of surf and he's about your size. He rides the most beat squarenose ever and has an 802 Lamey.

Backflips on flatwater aren't quite as automatic as some people perceive. A special purpose aftermarket hull with a huge motor is ideal, but it can be done on anything from a stocker with huge motor to an aftermarket hull with pretty decent motor. The most important factor is rider ability...

The threads on the shaft are smaller than what is on the coupler. A new coupler would just rattle around with no thread engagement. It's probably 3-5mm smaller.

most of the time. I have 2 trashed midshafts with a smaller thread diameter sitting in storage.
