Lets look at the SuperBN46mm carbs a bit. In addition to the carbs you need a throttle linkage, throttle wheel, bottom mounting adapters, and top mounting adapters (to use the OEM FA). Maybe throttle return springs and carb cable mount? Will all these swap right off a stock pair of OEM 38 or...

AM carbs are waaaaay $$$$.

I would pay $75 for a circuit rework if it made a big difference. OR would do it myself if I had the data.:purr:

I'm running a complete OEM setup w/1 screen each. 25 PSI, 120 lows, 110 highs. I tried lower popoff & lost power & snap off the bottom. Same w/122.5 lows. Now I'm wondering if anyone is running higher than 25 PSI pop-off w/an OEM setup? BTW engine is a 790 Wamilton's Big Bore, 168 PSI Comp...

Who was running the higher pop-off w/OEM 44s on this thread? I'd like to compare notes with my setup.

Were the fumes bad? I remember my first 550 had that front exhaust, & my eyes seemed to always be catching it....

OK, so we need some extra chemicals to run Nitro mixed w/gas, & we have to be a lot more careful. Overfilling the tank would be a big problem. But it still seems we could mix a ~little~ nitro, rejet, viola, instant extra HP.

What about freshwater? Any couch rentals on area lakes, where I could also put the SJ in? Since waves are small there that time of year freshwater would be a lot less work, & the kids wouldn't whine about saltwater in their eyes.:cat40:
