I think the safety factor depends on how you ride - If you try a roll and flop on your side you may get bruised (flatwater) to maybe a busted rib (ocean) or worse, depending. If you just have fun but stop short of rolls & flips (like this old man :cat05:) you usually just come home tired & sore...

No insane vibration, but I did ride a few times w/the wires not firmly controlled & finally noticed when flushing they were shaking like a bass guitar....

Or the something has rubbed thru a bilge pump wire or motor. That happened to me when a bilge pump came loose & the driveshaft rubbed a hole thru the housing and motor case enough to expose & wear thru the motor windings.:bigeyes:

Blowsion reinforcing kit - Precut, 1 layer CF, 1 layer Biaxial. Only downside is it doesn't cover as much as I'd like.
