Matt_E Roundnose Rebuild Thread - Motor Update for 2009

could you go ahead and pull the hood off and sink it and get back with me? j/k. Do you know of anyone else that runs foam like this? I seem to sink my skis a couple times a year, just curious. I'll probably go this route next hull, it seems much easier and a better way to keep water out

The bottom has the 1 inch thick padding, the footholds have thinner strips of it glued and shaped with sandpaper. We shortened the footholds and shaped the foam down towards the front so your foot will wedge in it. I'm going to stay away from enclosed footholds, i twisted my knee last year.

Everything in my shop is a dusty mess right now. If it wasnt so cold, i'd done my grinding outside, but it was 14 degress today so #$%^ that. Everything is glued and foamed, bondrail is trimmed, footholds are in. I need to seal all the tubes going through the bulkhead and pump area, but...

I got a little anal retentive on the bottom side of the bondline, but at least i know its watertight and its not coming apart. You Texas folk need to be working on that sxr project instead of sharing milkshakes at the dairy queen.

The exhaust tube is oem sxr from a ski I cut up. That drive shaft tube can be almost any size, that particular tube fits the fitting of the back of the bulkhead the best. As for the engine, Im undecided right now, I have a few sitting around, just cant decide
