My pump lined up perfect with no shims. I only had to shim my motor. Take the rubber coupler dampener out and your spark plugs and use a small flat edge and check for level around the couplers. Keep rotating the coupler and checking on all sides. Search google for the wamiltons video he does a...

Most people who join a forum have been on other forums. It's 2015. There's no excuse for browsing ignorance! Lol. An organized vendor section makes a lot of sense @Joker
Tolerance was perfect. Definitely a good part, but like @Jr. Said riding when there's constantly sand in the whitewash speeds up the process. I admit I ride in the whitewash a lot, that's where the fun is!!
Tom and I both got the solas stainless ring and granted we ride a ton, and in shallow surf because it's fun, my brand new hooker wore out within a month. The gap from blade to stator just kept getting bigger. Wear ring is great, maybe those impros impellers stainless material is the problem
I have a wetjet 46 setup on a jetmaniac all 61x 83mm w/factory pipe . 135L 165M 2.3 n.s with 18psi pop off. Even that was a little rich. Idk your elevation but I'm at sea level. 45-75 degree water, 30-90 degree air I only have to touch the screws a tiny bit through out the season. I can run WOT...
@speedysprocket I've never had a seapoo. Gear oil is kinda thick. Especially at those low water temps I ride in. durable oil though. ATF spins faster? Plenty of bearings in an auto transmission.
20 ton press or not, the last step of putting the shaft into the pump is where people are destroying their bearings.
Hard to describe to someone who hasn't built a pump before, but unless you have some kind of perfect sized pipe to put around your drive shaft and hold the front bearings inner...
There is no reason you can't install the first bearing into the pump using a socket that fits the outermost bearing race and softly pressing it in with a hammer. There is also no reason you cant install the second bearing onto the drive shaft using a correct sized deep socket against the...
I have 2 of them. One the bearings slid in real easy(purchased this year), the other older one took a little more to drive them in. To be honest I hammered them in with a hammer and sockets in a way to not destroy the bearings/races.(god forbid) I also never checked any clearances..lol
Use...
Do you roll surf stance or both feet in the holds?
Surf stance is a slower roll for me left foot forward and I spin to the right mostly. (They say left is easier because of the impeller rotation) You're standing up a little taller this way and I go a little slower at the wave and really Crank...
school me @JetManiac I thought 08+ driveshaft was longer?
How did they add room in front of the impeller without making shaft longer? I have never seen an 08+ stator, only regular '96 which I had
