This thread could be as much of a reminder not to use pump gas in a race gas motor . Not saying thats absolutly what happened here , but detonation will destroy bearings in short order .
Max pump comes with cone . I have a 144 on the way . Will put Hybrid ceramic bearings in it anyway so bearings dont matter . Got lots of props already . Ordered this one without driveshaft .
Solas props are another 6 to 8 oz lighter than skat swirl . Hookers are heavy too . Light weight driveline parts are a plus , but when it comes to impellers there are more important things to consider .
Also if you likes the stock prop better than a Solas Dynafly , you probably just never...
Bulbs don't last either. I quit using primers. A shot of fogging spray or gas in the carbs and fire it up on the trailer and don't need to prime again all day. Or put a towell over carbs to choke it for first crank.
Primer can come in handy in the surf to bring a ski back to life that...
Ran a Yamaha B head pipe on SXR Dasa motor using SXR wet chamber and it fit no problem . Haven't tried kawi head pipe on Yamaha yet but don't see why it wouldn't work fine .
Just finished installing dual carb manifold. Had to cut down my throttle shaft and remove the aluminum bar linking the Novis together. Also pay attention to the 4 studs supplied with manifold , as they have an Allen hex on one end . Pretty slick setup . Put it up on postal scale and was...
Optima just sent me one to try out on a Judge ported 8mm PV Dasa . Other than looking incredible , it is a big improvement over the riva I was running . Built in angled reed spacer and speed plate . Intakes on the Judge worked cases are epoxied and reed cages will not go in without spacer , so...
It's all in the components that are bolted onto it such as good carbs etc and how well it is set up . I own 2 group k big bore hammers and they are very strong. Pulled 2 holeshots at Myrtle beach in Gp ski with it this past summer and holes hotted every moto in vets open at colonial beach...
I had one of the first type4s when they came out 12 years ago and then went to a type9. Made great power but in the end they are not worth the hassle .went back to b pipes . Besides the fact they weigh 10 lbs more than a b pipe and need ecwi to work right . Power factor is a step in the right...
