Porting does not hurt reliability . That is a myth . Makes motor more efficient if its done right . Compression wont hurt reliability either as long as the right fuel is used .
The Billet Kawi Dasa 865 is every bit as nice as the cast Yamaha Dasa . The Kawi motor is working a bit harder pushing the heavier SXR hull for sure . They are all ported by Tim Judge. . Got 2 cast Dasa 7 port 8mm Yamaha motors that both had 81mm bores. Judge just finished big boring the first...
So what kind of wrist pin bearing that went out ? A new bearing should out last a piston as long as it has good lubrication. I've had a few cranks go on me over the years but never a wrist pin bearing
Detonation is evil. May as well hit the top of your piston with a SledgeHammer.
I've had the same enhancer sinse 2000 , and during that time I've seen dozens of other types of ignitions fried in other people's skis. You do need to have a good stator. That is usually the problem when the ski quits firing .
Use what ever you want . As far as the 100 to 1 goes . There is no oil that is so good that you dont have to use any .
All research shows that hi revint 2 strokes need much more than that .
There is another guy at dasa whos last name ends in L that thinks 927 is great and says he would not run amsoil . Anyway , 927 is a castor / synthetic blend . Not straight castor .
I use maxima 927 castor . I would much rather spend a little time cleaning oil out of powervalve caps than rebuilding a top end . I have found that pistons last a long time with 927 .
144 setback 12 vein max arrived . Its the one on left with kawi mag in center and hydro solas mag on right . Going with jetmaniac driveshaft . Gonna see how this compares to 14 vein 140 setback in the superjet .
Full Ceramic wont work Hybrid uses steel races with ceramic balls . The balls are harder than steel and do not wear out . Bearings can be rebuilt using balls from previous bearing . If you are not carefull installing and beat on it the wrong way the races can be dented , like any bearing .
Kenny , do you need a lowered pole bracket ? Ive got an extra one if you need it . Its an original 24/7 stainless lowered about 1 inch and forward about 1 inch , with pivot bolt with turned down bolt head to clear hull . Worked good on the old round nose but the newer 08 + hull did not like...
